Job Description

ByteDance is developing advanced foundation models focused on biological structures for applications including structure prediction, functional modeling, and de novo molecular design.

This role offers opportunities to work with machine learning researchers, computational biologists, and chemists on molecular modeling challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team tackling scientific challenges in molecular modeling
  • Contribute to designing and optimizing large-scale models for structure prediction across biomolecular systems
  • Translate insights from structural biology and experimental data into scalable model architectures

Requirements

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Structural Biology, CADD, Biophysics, or related field with top-tier publications
  • Extensive experience with computational tools (molecular dynamics, docking, quantum chemistry, structure prediction)
  • Hands-on experience integrating wet-lab and computational data
  • Proficiency in Python, C++ and bioinformatics pipelines
  • Strong scientific curiosity and collaborative mindset
