Bioinformatics Specialist

BD seeks a field support engineer to enable single-cell analysis pipelines and visualization solutions. The role requires strong bioinformatics expertise to support US customers in next-generation sequencing informatics, troubleshooting data analysis issues, and influencing product development through customer feedback.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in biology, computer science, or related field (Master's/PhD preferred)
• NGS and genomics data analysis experience
• External customer-facing role experience
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments

Preferred

• Knowledge of sequencing data formats (FASTQ, SAM/BAM, FASTA)
• Single-cell RNA-seq assay experience
• Technical skills: Docker, CWL, Seven Bridges, Arvados, or AWS
• Training content creation experience

The position requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week for on-site collaboration in Milpitas.
