Job Description
This leadership role oversees the design and application of new advanced computational methods, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI, for cutting-edge mRNA design and next-generation vaccine development.
The position guides optimization of nucleic acid therapeutics, vaccine platforms, and delivery systems using in silico solutions combined with active learning workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary computational design team
- Direct advanced computational methodologies including structural bioinformatics and molecular modeling
- Drive AI/LLM applications for de novo design and predictive modeling
- Embed computational experts within discovery project teams
- Establish active learning loops connecting predictions with experimental validation
- Collaborate with leadership across discovery, translational, and clinical stages
Basic Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Biology, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Bioinformatics
- 8+ years scientific experience
- 4+ years direct/matrix people management with international leadership
- Strong theoretical background in quantitative sciences applied to biology
- Publication record in relevant expertise areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced molecular modeling and simulation expertise
- Structural bioinformatics and protein engineering background
- AI/LLM application experience for mRNA design
- Nucleic acid therapeutics computational design background
