AIML Engineer, AI for Science

GSK seeks AI/ML engineers to strengthen their AI for Science team. Candidates will drive the development of AI models and agentic systems across scientific research tasks, utilizing high-performance computing and biomedical data resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML solutions throughout model development lifecycle
• Research and develop advanced machine learning models for scientific problem-solving
• Deliver robust, tested code in agile environments
• Collaborate with biology and medicine experts on data optimization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in quantitative/engineering disciplines (computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, or equivalent professional experience)
• Proficiency with major deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
• Advanced Python programming expertise
• Software engineering best practices knowledge (version control, CI/CD, containerization, shell scripting)
• Familiarity with current machine learning literature

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial AI/ML software development experience
• Large Language Models and agentic AI expertise
• Open-source project contributions
• Published AI/ML research at venues like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR
• Biomedical data experience (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, EHR, clinical imaging)
