Job Description

This role involves applying analytical expertise to complex biological datasets within the Neuroscience, Immunology, and Cardiovascular (NIC) discovery team. The position focuses on computational research for early-stage drug development, particularly targeting neurodegenerative diseases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct computational analysis on high-dimensional data from perturbation experiments (CRISPR screens, perturb-seq, cellular imaging)
  • Apply machine learning to compare experimental results against disease states using patient data
  • Collaborate across functional teams to identify and validate therapeutic targets
  • Partner with external academic and industry collaborators
  • Communicate findings through presentations and team meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 8+ years experience, OR Master's degree + 6+ years experience, OR PhD + 4+ years experience
  • PhD in quantitative field (computational biology, genomics, statistics, mathematics) preferred
  • 5+ years post-graduate experience
  • Proficiency in R or Python with reproducible research practices
  • Experience analyzing multi-omics datasets (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, proteomics)
  • Knowledge of single-cell and spatial profiling techniques
  • Neuroscience background preferred
