Job Description
Regeneron is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for Data Management to join our team.
This role will lead the design and implementation of enterprise data management solutions supporting Regeneron's research and development efforts. You will be responsible for building robust data infrastructure that enables scientific discovery and drug development.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable data management platforms
- Design data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage of large-scale scientific data
- Develop data governance frameworks and ensure data quality standards
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes
- Create APIs and services for data access and integration
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering team members
- Collaborate with scientists, analysts, and IT teams across the organization
Requirements
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering or data management
- Expert-level SQL and database design skills
- Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
- Track record of leading enterprise-scale data initiatives
Preferred
- Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Familiarity with scientific data types (genomics, clinical, etc.)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11)
