Sr Staff Engineer, AI and Advanced Analytics

Regeneron is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for AI and Advanced Analytics to join our team.

This role will lead the development of AI/ML solutions and advanced analytics platforms that accelerate drug discovery and development. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems in genomics, clinical research, and pharmaceutical sciences.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade AI/ML systems for drug discovery
• Develop advanced analytics solutions using machine learning and statistical methods
• Build scalable infrastructure for model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Lead MLOps initiatives and establish best practices for ML engineering
• Create tools and platforms for data scientists and researchers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical strategy

Requirements

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in ML/AI
• Expert-level Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Experience building production ML systems at scale
• Strong knowledge of MLOps practices and tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, etc.)
• Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML)
• Proficiency in distributed computing and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Preferred

• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Knowledge of applications in genomics, drug discovery, or clinical trials
• Experience with LLMs and generative AI
• Publications or patents in AI/ML
