Job Description
The role focuses on building advanced algorithms and technical features within the Computational Discovery team. The position analyzes multi-modal datasets—genomics, clinical outcomes, and imaging—to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets in cancer research.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead statistical investigations into oncogenesis mechanisms, biomarkers, drug resistance, and disease monitoring
- Maintain code repositories and ensure dataset quality control
- Serve as subject matter expert across departments to guide product strategy
- Collaborate on translational research yielding publications
- Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications
- PhD in life/mathematical sciences with 4+ years industry/postdoctoral experience; OR Master's degree with 6+ years industry experience (Cancer Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or related field)
- Proficiency in Python, R, Matlab, or Java
Preferred Qualifications
- First-author publications demonstrating research experience
- Expertise in cancer genomics, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or machine learning
- NGS technology and biomarker development knowledge
- Familiarity with clinical nomenclature and oncology patient pathways
- SQL, AWS, or AI/deep learning experience
- Stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities
- HIPAA and data privacy understanding
