Job Description

The Computational Genetics team seeks a full-time data scientist to extract insights from population genomics data, leveraging methods from multiple disciplines including computational genetics, statistical inference, machine learning, and simulation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and interpret analyses of traits in large-scale population cohorts
  • Perform integrative analyses of human genetics and EHR data for target identification and biomarker discovery
  • Collaborate with biology, clinical, and business development teams
  • Communicate findings through presentations, reports, and scientific publications

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Statistical Genetics, Human Genetics, or Computational Biology with 5+ years industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with UK Biobank and All of Us data (must describe relevant projects on resume)
  • Python proficiency
  • Extensive QC and analysis experience with human genetics data (WES/WGS/array genotyping)
  • Familiarity with genomics databases (gnomAD, GTEx, 1000 Genomes, TOPMed)
  • Unix/Linux and AWS cloud experience; SQL/Postgres database skills
  • Git version control expertise
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Publication and conference presentation record
  • Demonstrated adaptability with AI-powered tools
