Job Description

Lilly Neuroscience seeks a computational scientist to join the Pain and Neuronal Health discovery biology group. The role focuses on applying cutting-edge computational methods to understand the epigenetic and molecular architecture of brain disorders.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, neuroscience, biostatistics, or related quantitative discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong publication record in epigenetics or systems biology
  • Proficiency in R and Python with bioinformatics libraries (Bioconductor, scikit-learn, PyTorch)
  • NGS data analysis experience (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, bisulfite sequencing)
  • Multi-omic data integration and network/pathway analysis
  • Statistical methods and experimental design expertise
  • High-performance computing and version control familiarity
  • Psychiatric genetics or brain disorder expertise
  • GWAS, eQTL, and functional genomics knowledge
  • Machine learning and deep learning application experience
  • Single-cell and spatial multi-omics familiarity
  • Biological database experience (GTEx, PsychENCODE, UK Biobank, ENCODE)
