Associate Director / Team Lead Computational Biology

This role leads the Computational Biology team focused on Inflammatory and Respiratory diseases in Biberach, as part of a global team driving computational innovation in drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a computational biology team focused on inflammatory and respiratory diseases
• Mentor team members and develop talent
• Serve as liaison to the therapeutic area
• Design computational methods for target/biomarker discovery
• Drive cross-functional projects
• Shape computational strategy and manage external collaborations impacting the drug discovery pipeline

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Minimum 8 years in computational sciences applied to drug discovery within pharmaceutical/biotech
• Several years of line management experience in industry
• Expertise in computational target identification and biomarker discovery
• Strong leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration abilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
