Job Description

This role focuses on applying computational and bioinformatics methods to kidney disease research. The scientist will identify and validate new therapeutic targets for kidney disease while collaborating with cross-functional teams including biologists and geneticists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop computational models to analyze genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets
  • Prioritize therapeutic targets through integrative analysis with clear biological rationales
  • Collaborate on experimental validation studies
  • Apply machine learning and AI techniques to target discovery
  • Publish and present research findings

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2+ years postdoctoral experience; industry discovery research preferred
  • Programming proficiency in Python or R with cluster/cloud infrastructure
  • High-throughput data analysis experience (single-cell and spatial RNA-Seq)
  • Published peer-reviewed research record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Kidney or cardio-renal metabolic disease expertise
  • Machine learning and LLM integration experience
  • Drug discovery development familiarity
