Principal/Sr Principal Scientist - Applied Genetics

This role involves applying genetic expertise to support new medicine development within GSK's R&D Translational Sciences team. The position offers opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career in a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform human genetics & statistical genetics analyses in key disease areas
• Evaluate genetic evidence for therapeutic targets
• Work with large-scale population genetic studies
• Support new medicine development across GSK's pipeline

Requirements

• Ph.D. in human genetics, statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, or related disciplines with strong computational focus
• Experience with large-scale population genetic studies (GWAS, WES/WGS)
• Proficiency in R or Python programming
• Cloud computing platform experience (AWS/Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of genetics databases and biobanks
