Job Description

Pathos seeks a computational biologist to design genomics pipelines, generate biomarker hypotheses, and translate molecular insights into actionable development recommendations. Role spans discovery through Phase 1/2 trials, directly influencing indication selection and patient stratification strategies using AI-native platforms and multimodal data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute cancer genomics and transcriptomics analysis pipelines
  • Generate biomarker hypotheses from clinical trial data
  • Perform response modeling and survival analysis
  • Conduct multi-omic hypothesis validation across small molecules, antibodies, bispecifics, and ADCs
  • Influence high-stakes program decisions
  • Cross-functional collaboration with clinicians and scientists

Requirements

  • PhD in computational biology, cancer genomics, bioinformatics, or related field
  • 5+ years in pharma/biotech supporting oncology drug development
  • Cancer genomics and transcriptomics expertise with RNA-seq and DNA analysis experience
  • Biomarker analysis from clinical trials including response modeling and survival analysis
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python with emphasis on reproducibility
  • Familiarity with oncology datasets (Tempus, TCGA, AACR GENIE)
  • Drug development perspective beyond data science
  • Clear communication of complex findings to diverse audiences
