Head of Patient Data, Epidemiology and Patient Data Products

Valo Health seeks a leader to oversee their patient data platform that accelerates drug discovery. The role requires directing a multidisciplinary team at the intersection of AI innovation and real-world data applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize the real-world data (RWD) platform so computational teams can extract actionable insights
• Champion user experience for electronic health record data integration across teams
• Enhance AI representation in RWD workflows through improved feature engineering and data curation
• Develop and execute RWD platform strategy aligned with organizational objectives
• Own the RWD tooling roadmap to maximize impact and generate business development opportunities
• Partner with epidemiology and data science leads on continuous RWD asset evaluation
• Build automated validation systems for data processing from RWD vendors
• Develop roadmap and mentor clinical informatics, data science, and engineering personnel

Requirements

• Technical Product Leadership: Experience building scalable data pipelines and clinical/RWD tools with ML/AI capabilities
• Patient Data Expertise: Demonstrated work with RWD, electronic medical records, or patient registries
• Management Track Record: Successfully led high-performing technical teams
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Strategic Thinking: Translate scientific insights into business strategies
• Healthcare Innovation: Drive in health tech/pharmaceutical domain

Preferred Qualifications

• U.S. and international healthcare dataset experience
• Causal inference knowledge in observational data
• Data-as-a-product leadership in commercial settings
• Real-world evidence familiarity in drug discovery
