Head of Machine Learning, Cell Biology

Insitro seeks a leader to head their cell biology machine learning team. The role involves developing ML methods for analyzing high throughput, multimodal cellular phenotyping and perturbation data across imaging and omics modalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ML scientists developing methods for cellular data analysis
• Collaborate with drug discovery teams
• Advance both wet lab and computational capabilities
• Deliver complete ML solutions: data sourcing, model design, testing, deployment

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, biology, bioinformatics, or related field
• 12+ years applying AI/ML to cellular data
• Deep knowledge of modern machine learning and deep learning
• Experience with both imaging and omics data
• Peer-reviewed publications in top-tier venues
• Drug discovery experience preferred
• People management and team development experience
• Cross-functional collaboration with life scientists
