Job Description

Eli Lilly seeks a Post Doctoral Scientist for their Cardiometabolic Research Therapeutic Area. The role focuses on supporting data, tools and infrastructure critical for clinical research objectives, integrating and analyzing genomic, proteomic, metabolomic, and phenotypic data from biobanks using cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical and computational approaches to analyze WGS/WES, proteomics, and metabolomics data for biomarker discovery
  • Conduct analyses of large-scale population cohorts and biobank datasets to identify genetic variants
  • Develop and implement machine learning and bioinformatics pipelines
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including geneticists, epidemiologists, and clinicians
  • Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and publications
  • Contribute to novel statistical methods for analyzing high-dimensional biological data

Requirements

  • PhD in statistical genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or related quantitative field
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in WGS/WES analysis, proteomics, metabolomics, and clinical outcomes research
  • Experience with large biobank datasets (UK Biobank, All of Us, FinnGen)
  • Programming: R, Python, SQL
  • Familiarity with GWAS and polygenic risk scores
