Job Description
Pathos is developing an AI-native biotech platform that turns real-world data and multimodal models into translational biomarker insights for oncology drug development. This role focuses on genomics and biomarker pipelines supporting internal and licensed oncology assets, spanning discovery through Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain translational genomics pipelines (RNA-seq, DNA variants, multi-omic integration)
- Generate biomarker hypotheses across therapeutic modalities (small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, ADCs)
- Lead biomarker discovery and validation across preclinical and clinical datasets
- Analyze Phase 1/2 clinical trial data linking molecular profiles to clinical endpoints
- Partner with clinical, translational, and regulatory teams on trial strategy and patient selection
- Communicate complex genomic findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- PhD in computational biology, cancer genomics, bioinformatics, or related field
- 5+ years in pharma/biotech supporting oncology drug development
- Deep expertise in cancer genomics and transcriptomics with clinical experience
- Experience analyzing clinical trial biomarker data and survival analysis
- Proficiency in R and/or Python with emphasis on reproducibility
- Familiarity with major oncology datasets (Tempus, TCGA, AACR GENIE)
- Drug development mindset; ability to make biomarkers actionable in clinical programs
