Associate Director, Computational Biology

Associate Director, Computational Biology at Beeline Medicines. Remote position (US-based, East Coast hours preferred).

Beeline Medicines seeks a computational biologist to accelerate therapeutic discovery and development by applying advanced analytics to identify disease mechanisms and biomarkers for autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute multi-omics analyses (transcriptomics, proteomics, genomics, single-cell, spatial)
• Develop modeling approaches including graph machine learning, network analysis, and causal inference
• Integrate patient datasets, in vitro models, and real-world evidence for translational insights
• Identify and validate therapeutic targets and biomarkers
• Collaborate with experimental, pharmacokinetics, statistics, and clinical teams
• Support external partnerships and communicate findings to diverse audiences
• Contribute to scientific strategy and portfolio prioritization

Requirements

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, genomics, or related field
• 7+ years biotech/pharma or translational research experience
• Expertise in high-dimensional data analysis and modern computational methods
• Strong biological background with ability to develop mechanistic hypotheses
• Machine learning and statistical modeling proficiency
• Immunology or autoimmunity expertise preferred; lupus experience advantageous
• Patient stratification and clinical trial biomarker experience
• Familiarity with GTEx, ENCODE, GWAS, GEO, and disease databases
• Leadership and mentoring abilities in fast-paced biotech environments
