Anthropic STEM Fellow

Anthropic seeks STEM experts to participate in a three-month fellowship program (June 15 - September 15) developing AI capabilities for scientific discovery. The fellowship pairs domain expertise with frontier Claude models to evaluate, improve, and apply Claude's capabilities across science and engineering fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Design rigorous evaluations measuring model reasoning in your field
• Identify capability gaps and create targeted training data
• Apply Claude to domain-specific problems using various computational strategies
• Deliver concrete, scoped projects within the fellowship period

Ideal Candidate Profile

• PhD in STEM or equivalent research experience
• Familiarity with Claude and Claude Code workflows
• Excitement about AI-accelerated scientific discovery
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments

Requirements

• US work authorization required
• Full-time commitment for three months
• In-person attendance at San Francisco office

Compensation

• Weekly stipend of approximately $3,800
• Office access and benefits
