Job Description

BeiGene is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Bioinformatics to join their Translational Discovery, Research, and Medicine team. This role plays a key part in enhancing bioinformatics infrastructure and capabilities, providing strategic and technical expertise to support clinical biomarker analysis and translational research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead bioinformatics scientist for internal drug discovery and development programs
  • Design, develop, and deploy bioinformatics workflows and interactive tools for high-dimensional Omics data (bulk and single-cell transcriptomes, WES, proteomes)
  • Collaborate with IT to establish and maintain bioinformatics computing infrastructure
  • Develop and execute Omics data generation and analysis plans to support program development
  • Utilize proprietary and public biological data to generate actionable insights
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to bioinformatics scientists
  • Present analytical results clearly using well-designed materials

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
  • Proficient in R plus at least one other language (Python, Perl, Java)
  • Skilled in Linux systems and server/cloud computing
  • Extensive experience analyzing high-throughput biomedical data (RNASeq, scRNAseq, WES, spatial gene expression)
  • Familiarity with Git, Conda, Snakemake, or Nextflow
  • Expertise in clinical biomarker analysis for oncology/immunology drug development
  • Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics; ML/AI experience a plus

Salary: $147,100 - $197,100 annually
