Job Description
Myriad Genetics seeks a Computational Scientist II who envisions, designs, builds, validates, and launches new genomic products and product features that directly improve patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Author optimized and reliable analysis pipelines applied to samples
- Rigorously analyze a variety of big datasets to gain actionable insights launched into the lab
- Amplify the productivity of the entire R&D team by creating time-saving software tools and environments
- Work on collaborative teams with experimental scientists, software engineers, automation engineers, and data scientists
- Communicate results internally to key stakeholders and externally at conferences and in peer-reviewed literature
Required Qualifications
- PhD (or master's with relevant experience) in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, biophysics, physics, statistics, molecular biology, genetics, or related discipline
- Conversant in molecular biology and genetics
- Exceptional software skills, preferably with fluency in Python
- Experience with Next Generation Sequencing preferred
- U.S. citizen, national, or green card holder required
Salary: $106,100 - $132,600 (min to midpoint)
