Scientist II, Clinical Bioinformatics

10x Genomics seeks a Scientist II in Clinical Bioinformatics to establish diagnostic applications using single-cell and spatial transcriptomics technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Implement computational and statistical methods for single-cell and spatial transcriptomics analysis
• Extract clinically meaningful insights from translational datasets
• Design, validate, and implement diagnostic biomarkers
• Build and maintain reproducible bioinformatics pipelines
• Process and analyze datasets spanning hundreds to thousands of samples

Required Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or related field with extensive single-cell NGS experience
• Minimum 2 years post-PhD industry experience
• Demonstrated expertise analyzing large-scale single-cell or spatial transcriptomics datasets
• Strong understanding of statistical method assumptions and limitations
• High-performance, scalable code development skills
• Linux proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with 10x Genomics technologies
• Cancer or autoimmune disease research background
• Clinical genomics and biomarker discovery knowledge
• Statistical modeling and machine learning expertise
• Workflow orchestration (Snakemake, Nextflow, Martian)

Salary: $123,400 - $167,000
