Bioinformatics Scientist (Postdoc)

Element Biosciences seeks a Bioinformatics Scientist (Postdoc) to join their Scientific Affairs team. The role focuses on designing, executing, and interpreting multiomic and single-cell data analyses to generate publication-quality scientific insights. 1-year postdoc contract with possible conversion to full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret multiomic and single-cell data analyses
• Develop bioinformatics pipelines
• Contribute to peer-reviewed publications
• Collaborate with wet-lab and product teams to advance the multiomics platform

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field (0-3 years postdoc experience)
• Hands-on experience with RNA-seq, single-cell, and multiomic workflows
• Proficiency in Python, R, and Bash with relevant libraries (Seurat, Scanpy, DESeq2)
• Familiarity with STAR, GATK, CellRanger, cloud HPC
• AWS cloud computing experience
• Track record of peer-reviewed publications or conference presentations
• Strong statistical and experimental design background

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000. Up to 10% domestic travel.
