Associate Director, Oncology Epidemiology

Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division seeks an Associate Director of Oncology Epidemiology to lead real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives and epidemiology research across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify research needs and draft proposals and protocols for epidemiology/RWE strategy
• Conduct feasibility assessments and analyses across the product lifecycle
• Perform literature reviews and support clinical team study design
• Execute statistical analyses on real-world data (claims, EMRs, registries, curated datasets)
• Provide epidemiological consulting and disseminate findings through reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications
• Support pharmacovigilance and post-authorization safety activities
• Contribute to benefit-risk assessments
• Participate in cross-functional matrix teams
• Monitor FDA and regulatory guidance on RWE standards

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Epidemiology, MD with epidemiology training, or Master's with 4+ years hands-on experience
• 3+ years epidemiology research experience
• Proficiency with quantitative methods
• Experience writing observational study protocols and proposals
• Track record of scientific communications (publications, presentations, reports)

Preferred Qualifications

• Administrative/medical records database experience
• Applied pharmacoepidemiology background
• Oncology-specific disease expertise
• Health authority engagement experience
• Phase III/IV drug development involvement

Salary: $137,000 - $235,750 annually
