Job Description

Regeneron is seeking a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics (AI/ML) to leverage generative AI for biomolecule design. In this role you will apply and tailor state-of-the-art generative foundation models for biomolecule (protein, antibody, small molecules and nucleic acid) design and optimization. You will work with experimental datasets including curation, encoding, and model training, with emphasis on model learning and adaptation incorporating feedback data from downstream experimental validation assays. Close collaboration with wet lab teams and clinicians is required for closed-loop AI development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and tailor state-of-the-art generative foundation models for biomolecule (protein, antibody, small molecules and nucleic acid) design and optimization
  • Work with experimental datasets including curation, encoding, and model training

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields
  • 2+ years using AI for biomolecule research
  • Proficiency in R, Python, Perl, Java, or Linux
  • Knowledge of generative AI foundation models for biomolecules
  • Self-motivated with collaborative research abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background or knowledge in structural biology and/or biochemistry

Salary Range: $109,900 - $179,300 annually. Work arrangement: onsite 4 days, remote 1 day.
