Director, Biostatistics (Oncology)

The role involves collaborating with clinical development partners to establish statistical standards and oversee analytical work for partner-sponsored studies. The director will manage collaborative investigator-initiated trials and represent statistics across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply statistical leadership for assigned clinical trials and programs
• Train colleagues as subject matter expert in specialized areas including diagnostics, biomarkers, pharmacokinetics, and real-world evidence
• Develop statistical analysis plans and validate findings
• Lead outsourced contractor activities ensuring quality deliverables
• Mentor junior staff and manage recruitment and retention

Requirements

• PhD or Master's in biostatistics, mathematics, or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years (10 years for master's degrees) in pharmaceutical or contract research industries
• At least 5 years supervising statistics staff and representing biostatistics in matrix organizations
• Oncology trial experience across phases I–IV
• Proficiency with SAS, R, and sample size software
• Deep regulatory and clinical development knowledge
