Bioinformatics Scientist II

Support diagnostic product operations focusing on NGS-based Laboratory Developed Tests in CLIA labs, emphasizing RNA-based assays.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct bioinformatic analysis using existing computational biology knowledge and tools, developing and implementing novel algorithmic biological approaches
• Monitor quality control processes for NGS-based Laboratory Developed Tests in CLIA labs
• Develop standard operating procedures and technical documentation for regulatory filings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements and troubleshooting
• Create data visualizations using tools like Tableau to identify production trends

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree (4+ years experience) or Ph.D. (2+ years experience) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
• Proficiency in R and/or Python programming
• Experience with data visualization, SQL, and high-dimensional data analysis
• Linux competency and version control (GitHub, Bitbucket)
• AWS Services experience (S3, EC2)

Highly Desirable

• Experience with regulated diagnostic environments (CAP, CLIA, ISO standards)
• Experience building R Shiny applications or BI dashboards (Tableau)
