The Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) group is seeking a dynamic, strategic thinking and collaborative Scientist to contribute to our company drug discovery and early clinical development efforts, with a focus on lab-based bioanalytical efforts for small molecules and peptides. This position will be based at our research labs in Boston, MA. Experience utilizing liquid-chromatography / mass spectrometry platforms to quantify small molecules and/or peptides from various in vitro and in vivo matrices is required. The ability to develop new bioanalytical methods, efficiently utilize data processing platforms and perform basic instrument maintenance is a plus. The position will allow for regular interaction with multi-disciplinary discovery project teams and subject matter experts from other functions within our Research & Development Division. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to innovate, independently execute and be fully accountable for their scientific deliverables. The candidate will have the opportunity to present their work at departmental meetings as well as promote our company science through publications and external presentations.

In this exciting position, your primary roles will include:

  • Utilize state-of-the-art liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry approaches to quantitate drug levels in various in vitro and in vivo matrices in support of PK and PK/PD efforts.

  • Analyze, review and utilize quantitative data to estimate pharmacokinetic parameters in support of multiple programs across various therapeutic areas.

  • Close collaboration with PDMB subject-matter experts in Boston (MA), South San Francisco (CA) and West Point (PA) aimed at efficiently supporting a dynamic and fast-paced research portfolio.

Education Minimum Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or related STEM field with 3+ years relevant postgrad laboratory experience or MS degree and 0+ years of experience.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing liquid-chromatography / mass spectrometry (LC/MS) platforms to quantify small molecules and/or peptides from various in vitro and in vivo matrices

  • Working knowledge of traditional bioanalytical instrumentation and techniques (primarily LC/MS), including method development, optimization and general maintenance

  • Experience preparing samples from various in vitro and in vivo matrices for bioanalytical characterization including, but not limited to, protein precipitation, liquid/liquid extraction and solid-phase extraction techniques.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and collaborative qualities to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Ability to design, interpret and troubleshoot experiments aimed at addressing complex questions.

The salary range for this role is

$98,000.00 - $154,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
