Qualifications

BS or graduate degree (MS and PhD) in bioinformatics, biostatistics, human genetics, or a related field.

Graduate degree with 2+ years and BS degree with 5+ years of directly related experience in bioinformatics, Next Generation Sequencing analysis and genetic testing.

Strong programming and statistics skills in languages such as R, Python, and Perl.

Experience in clinical genomics data analysis and databases.

Familiar with Amazon Web Services, including compute, storage, and security.

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.

Strong communication and organization skills.

Attention to details is critical.

Responsibilities

-

The Clinical Bioinformatics Analyst provides bioinformatics support in clinical test development, validation, maintenance of data analysis pipelines, monitoring of quality metrics, analysis of large datasets.

Applies existing bioinformatics tools and algorithms to process, analyze and interpret genomic data.

Evaluates and helps implement clinical software applications and interface programs into clinical operation.

Maintains SOP documentation of NGS bioinformatics pipeline.

Participates in developmental and clinical research projects, as needed.

Collaborate with wet lab and reporting teams to understand data interoperability needs.
