Job Description

We're seeking a Member of Technical Staff for Data Collection & Research to own how Latch sources and curates data.

About the role

Seeking a member of technical staff, data partnerships, to work with biotechs, CROs, and clearinghouses to source and generate unique, high-value datasets. The data you generate will train agents on real-world R&D tasks. You will own scoping of use cases and the data curation strategy under three verticals: multi-omics, therapeutics, biosecurity.

What You'll Do

  • Build partnerships with data vendors, institutions, and labs, and secure access to proprietary data
  • Craft high-quality, differentiated datasets that support upcoming biology benchmarks
  • Source clinical and molecular datasets directly from institutions and research groups
  • Creatively assemble and package public data (patents, publications, molecular atlases, clinical trials, etc.) into meaningful and realistic biological analysis tasks.
  • Use bioinformatics tools to process raw datasets into useful, benchmark-ready formats.
  • Work ahead of the benches, staging data before it is needed rather than after

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years working hands-on with biological or biomedical data.
  • A track record of finding non-obvious, omics or therapeutics data sources at scale.
  • Fluency with primary literature and patent search, and the judgment to assess data quality
  • Strong communicator.
