（Senior）Statistician

Typical Accountabilities

• Act as a technical expert supporting the delivery of statistical outputs within the area of Biostatics and provide statistical consultancy.
• Develop operational systems and research processes across area of responsibility to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of projects.
• Act as a source of knowledge in area of expertise, define and communicate important initiatives across departments and functions.
• Contribute to establishing and implementing policies, procedures and objectives for own work to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations.
• Lead the development of setting statistical standards or techniques in order that the quality, efficiency or effectiveness of projects are improved for overall group efficiency.
• Account for specialised research to enhance the effectiveness of Biostatistics contributions to worldwide submissions across a range of products.
• Provide a highly experienced strategic input, statistical expertise, and leadership to project teams in the design and interpretation of clinical studies and programmes of studies.
• Apply expert statistical skills to support clinical development programs and external regulatory interactions.
• Promote good statistical practice and ensures adherence with relevant statistical analysis plans.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential: Masters in Statistics or a related discipline; extensive experience in applied statistics within drug development; in-depth understanding of clinical trial data analysis and statistical study design across all phases; proficiency in statistical modeling and simulation for clinical program enhancement.

Desirable: Doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field; certification in advanced statistical software tools; experience with regulatory submission practices; familiarity with global health authority guidelines; excellent written and verbal communication skills; a publication history in peer-reviewed journals; leadership experience in cross-functional biostatistical projects.
