About the role
We seek an exceptionally motivated Senior Scientist / Scientist II, Systems Immunologist to join our team of talented researchers in a highly collaborative startup environment at the intersection of immunology, AI, and new genomic technologies. This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse set of projects related to human immunology, with a focus on cancer immunology and autoimmunity. Location: New York, NY (Hybrid position). Reporting to: Principal, Translational Immunology Lead.
What will you do?
- Serve as an immunology subject-matter expert on internal and external collaboration projects
- Utilize your computational skills as part of the External Collaborations dry lab team (Systems Immunologists & Computational Biologists)
- Independently contribute to project planning, including goals, activities, and timelines
- Lead the translation of data analysis to biological insights with the goal of generating actionable recommendations to inform drug development
- Take an active role in shaping Immunai's bioinformatic platforms to reflect immunological insights
- Clearly communicate concepts and findings to external stakeholders in the form of presentations and data reports
- Perform literature reviews to maintain a deep understanding of project-specific immunological concepts, and a broad understanding of the field as it relates to immunotherapies, immunology, and single-cell technologies
- Independently advise computational teams on matters of immunology
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. in immunology or a closely related field - A MUST
- A minimum of 3-6 years of related experience (postdoc or industry)
- Hands-on experience with single-cell RNA sequencing including coding and data analysis in R (preferred) or Python - A MUST
- Experience with multimodal single-cell data such as CITE-seq, TCR/BCR-seq, or spatial approaches is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Compensation: This position offers a base salary typically between $130,000 and $150,000, with the opportunity for higher compensation based on business need, candidate experience, and/or skills.
