Job Description

The Meyer Lab in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is currently recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher with skills in both computational and experimental biology to join our team in reimagining how we discover and deploy drug combinations in the clinic.

Our work is highly interdisciplinary, integrating high-throughput screening, computational models, and systems biology to elucidate the mechanisms of drug interactions in complex biological systems, with a particular focus on infectious disease.

Ideal candidates will have

  • A Ph.D. in pharmacology, microbiology, chemical biology, or a related field
  • Experience designing, executing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative experiments, including high-throughput screens.
  • Experience with coding software such as Python, R, and GitHub.
  • An ambition to make major contributions to the field of systems pharmacology by driving an independent research project.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary environment

This position offers access to state-of-the-art facilities (e.g., High Throughput Bioscience Center, link, and HPC environment with 5.3 PFLOPS of power and 150 PB of storage capacity, link), a collaborative and supportive research environment, and the opportunity to work on high-impact problems in human health. St. Jude offers highly competitive postdoctoral salaries (typically 20–25% above NIH guidelines) in a low-cost-of-living city, along with comprehensive benefits and robust support for professional development.
