Janssen R&D, LLC is recruiting for a Post-Approval Lifecycle Management (PALM) and Artificial Intelligence co-op, located in Titusville, NJ.

PALM is a team within the Office of Chief Medical Officer and responsible for the late lifecycle management and optimization of a variety of products across a diverse group of therapeutic areas, such as oncology, immunology and neuroscience.

The PALM Oncology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) co-op position supports the Oncology Portfolio and Compound Development Teams (CDTs) and is dedicated to maximizing the value of the portfolio through the execution of clinical development programs to support successful completion of clinical projects and deliverables that enable worldwide registrations for new indications, enhancements to the label and compliance with regulatory commitments. The co-op also participates in the AI projects with the objective to automate certain work processes by using the latest AI technologies, such as large language models and reinforcement learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Clinical Leaders and CDTs in the execution of specific tasks and projects in the oncology portfolio related to clinical studies and strategic activities.
  • Work with the Clinical Leaders on clinical trial concept and protocol development, execute clinical studies for post-approval commitments and new indications.
  • Be actively involved in creation of Clinical Study Reports, publication of clinical research findings, and presentations to relevant Health Authorities, advisory committees, and review meetings.
  • Participate in AI projects by evaluating related latest technologies and contributing to the progress of the projects.

Qualifications

Education

You are enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science and/or biological sciences related fields.

Experience and Skills

Required

  • You are passionate about science & operational excellence.
  • You have the latest knowledge and experience in AI, especially in large language models.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills for developing innovative solutions and meeting project objectives.
  • You have demonstrated the ability of critical thinking and prioritization with respect to project objectives.
  • You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency.
  • You possess good communication and interpersonal skills and can work effectively in a team environment.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other commonly used software.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
  • Additional technical proficiencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, including experience with PubMed, EMBASE, and other literature databases.
  • We strongly prefer a minimum G.P.A. of 3.7.

  • Availability to work Full Time and for the total duration of the role (up to 6 months) is preferred.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
