At the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, our Corporate, Innovative Medicine, and MedTech leverage data, real-world insights, and creative minds to make life-changing healthcare products and medicines. We are disrupting outdated healthcare ecosystems and infusing them with transformative ideas to help people thrive throughout every stage of their lives. With a reach of more than a billion people every day, there is no limit to the impact you can make here. Are you ready to reimagine healthcare?

J&J Innovative Medicine Research & Development, L.L.C, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for Statistics & Decision Sciences Summer Interns for our Raritan, NJ, Titusville, NJ, Spring House, PA, and La Jolla, CA sites. Virtual internships are potentially available.

Statistics & Decision Sciences (SDS) is part of Global Development and partners across multidisciplinary teams to apply statistical reasoning, data science, and computing solutions to drug-development decisions. Our summer internships are available for graduate students and undergraduate students (through GD U.S. Summer Internship program; a separate posting) working towards a degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related Quantitative discipline. Students will have the opportunity to work with practicing statisticians and computing science specialists and to learn about practical, applied statistical needs and solutions specific to clinical or nonclinical pharmaceutical industry settings. Our teams benefit from the students’ academic training and in turn contribute to the further academic and professional development of the students as well as having a first-hand opportunity to evaluate the students’ potential for future employment.

In this role, students will make meaningful contributions to diverse Research & Development programs in immunology, oncology, neuroscience, cardiopulmonary or across the portfolio. They will support work across the drug development lifecycle - from drug discovery through Phase 2 and 3 clinical studies and pharmaceutical manufacturing - through activities such as data preparation, graphical data exploration, data visualization, statistical modeling and analysis, reproducible analytics, report writing, and development of computer programs or software applications that support study design and statistical analyses. Additional opportunities may include designing experiments, conducting simulations to evaluate and optimize study designs, and contributing to statistical methodology development.

Each intern will complete one or more defined projects with guidance from experienced statisticians or computing scientists and participate in mentoring, networking, and professional-development activities.
