Job Description

Graduate-level co-op focused on gene editing research within the Data and Computational Sciences team. 6-month program from July–December 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze next-generation sequencing data from gene editing experiments to quantify editing rates
  • Compare efficacy of therapeutic approaches across varying parameters
  • Create visualizations and summaries for cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop automated analysis pipelines for improved throughput
  • Work with cloud computing (AWS) and high-performance computing infrastructure
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate code development and enhance comparisons
  • Document analyses and share updates with the computational genomics team

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in 4th or 5th year Ph.D. program in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Genomics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Strong analytical and scientific communication skills
  • Expertise in next-generation sequencing data analysis
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R
  • Experience with computational pipeline tools (Snakemake, Nextflow)
  • Familiarity with AWS, Linux, or HPC environments
  • Must work full-time onsite in Boston (no sponsorship available)
